The year of 1991 had seen the formation and rise of the American rock band known as Incubus. Formed by three high school students, Jose Pasillas (drummer), Mike Einziger (lead guitarist) and Brandon Boyd (vocalist), they later added even more members Alex “Dirk Lance” Katunich (bassist) and Gavin “DJ Lyfe” Koppell (bassist). These later additions had been ultimately substituted by Ben Kenney and Chris DJ Kilmore.

Incubus represents the American dream of numerous young hopeful musicians. Started by a group of pals while they were in the 10th grade and later on mentored by a famous math and music teacher, Joanne Stanulonis, they have accomplished a level of fame that’s been dreamed about by many but only achieved by just a few. At that time nobody could have imagined that they would be searching for Incubus tickets. Using the contacts provided by Joanne Stanulonis, Incubus performed at the Roxy, The Troubadour and also the Whiskey before they were old enough to graduate from secondary school. Music producer Jim Wirt and wife Kathleen provided totally free recording and also studio time at 4th Street Recording. Out of this resulted Fungus Amongus. The group’s very first extensive label launch took place in 1997 and was a six-track EP named Enjoy Incubus. This release was recorded so that the music band could have a recording to promote while they sold Incubus tickets and toured Europe along with Korn.

On September 9, 1997 was the launch of their 2nd studio record entitled S.C.I.E.N.C.E. During the time of this release, they were selling Incubus tickets as being the opening act for Korn and also 311. Chris DJ Kilmore got into the group in 1998 as a replacement for Gavin “DJ Lyfe” Koppell. With Kilmore in the group, they participated in Ozzfest, and the Family Values Tour plus toured with System of Down and Ultraspank. The band has lots of additional hit songs including the following:

1999 Make Yourself album which contained popular songs “Pardon Me”, “Drive” and “Stellar”.

2003 A Crow Left of the Murder an improved record that included behind the scenes video which included the track “Megalomaniac” which wound up becoming blocked from daytime showing on MTV when it had been said that it was an assault on US President Bush and also his administration.
