Different martial art forms for practice

How to define what martial arts are exactly? In short, the martial arts are systems of different practices and traditions of training for combat. Even when they were originally designed for the purpose was probably to be used in actual combat, today may be studied for various reasons, including fitness, self defense, sport, meditation, mental discipline, character development, and building trust in itself.

-          Karate: Definitely one of the world’s most popular martial arts. Today it is practiced by people of all ages, including children. It is not particularly difficult to learn, and as one progress and different ribbon colors are achieved, all depends on the black belt. It is also a philosophy of respect for the opponent, an inner search for physical evolution and harmonization through the martial art. Karate is a martial art of respect and defensive, never offensive.


-          Aikido: Also a very popular martial art, aikido is significantly different from karate. First developed in Japan, its main and only goal is self defense. A doctor is never an attacker. Today, it is commonly used for recreational purposes by all generations. In simple words, this technique tries to neutralize the opponent until his defeat without physically damaging it, using his strength against him to bring him down with minimal effort.


-          Kendo: This technique focuses primarily on the use of a sword. While the two previous martial arts were practiced by civilians, kendo was originally used by trained soldiers. Today, kendo is a popular martial art practiced competitively in Japan.


-          Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: This is another martial art of attacking. Not allowed to use weapons, and focuses primarily on ground fighting. It became very popular in the 1990s. It focuses on dislocations, pushes, throws, projections and bottlenecks.



-          Judo: it is one of the styles practiced today, becoming Olympic combat sport based on submissions, throws and locks. Good for any age or physical condition.

-          Taekwondo: A martial art that has evolved to now become an Olympic combat sport. Stresses its spectacular combat system based on kicking and punching.

They are beneficial for the physical health of the body but also for the inner balance of each person, even helping in cases of stress or insecurity.
